Well, obviously Brinlee decided to come early!! The night before she came, I was talking on the phone with my friend Ashlyn, telling her that I felt great, and didn't think she was going to try to come early again, and that I thought she was going to wait until her day.... well, a few hours later, I woke up with contractions, but just tried to sleep through them because they weren't too bad, well 4 a.m. comes along, and I couldn't sleep anymore, I decided I'd just wait until my dr apt at 9:30 instead of going to L&d, just to see what they thought... well, I just had a feeling it was her day, so Andrew and I packed all of our bags, and put them in the truck, at my apt I told her about my contractions, and she just kind of thought they were normal, until she checked me and said, oh wow, well, I'm going to go call the on call dr and see if they can do your c-section, I hope you're not mad about having her early.. then told me she hoped my water didn't break with a contraction on my way downstairs to l&d haha, that's just great right? So they sent us down, got us in a room, and about an hour later, the on call dr (the only man in the practice, who I didn't like when I saw him after I had camden.) came in, and said we were going to do my c-section around 2:30-3:30, I don't know how I got in so early, saying there were 9 other c-sections scheduled for that day- but I'm glad I did, about 3 they came and got me, took me back, and got me prepped, everything went amazing, and the nurses and "drug" man were the best... and after my c-section, I actually came to like the male dr, which I guess is a good thing..although I'd never choose him on my own. It's nice because now your baby gets to stay with you until you want to take them to the nursery and give them a bath, so Andrew and Brinlee didn't have to disappear soon after her birth. :) I've recovered even quicker from this c-section than the last, which has been so great, I feel awesome!! At first I was super bummed about the "only two visitors at a time" rule, but I really think that's why I recovered so much quicker, because I actually got rest this time!!! It was really hard not seeing Camden for those few days, I was so sad, especially when my mom would tell me how he'd wake up in the morning searching for me, calling "mommy".. heartbreaking! We spent new years in the hospital, which let me tell you, it's a party in there ;) haha but I'm glad we got to spend it with our new baby girl, even if I was mad that she didn't wait until January (I so didn't want a december baby) but she does get to share a birthday with Andrew's aunt which is super fun!! Andrew's grandma wanted me to wait another day so they could share a birthday, but that just wasn't happening!!! Camden has been the best big brother, which I knew he would, he's so caring and gentle! We had my mom bring him to the hospital when we were coming home so he could ride with us, the whole way home he kept saying "aww baby" and held on to her carseat. :) Her jaundice (sp) levels were a little high, so we had to go to the pedi's office for a week straight to get her poor little heels sliced to check them, and finally they decided to put her on bili lights, luckily they only lasted a night and now she's all better!!! She's such a amazing baby, she's so calm, she rarely cries, breastfeeds like a champ, and only wakes at night to eat, I don't know how we got so lucky twice, but so far we have! We love her sooo much, I'm proud to share a middle name with her! :) I never thought I could love another child as much as I love Camden, but I so do! from the first moment I saw her!!! She'll be two weeks old tomorrow, and I can't believe how fast time flies!!! :(
